Qing Zheng received her BA in Animation from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and an MFA in Digital Arts from Pratt Institute. Following graduation, she worked as an animator in New York, collaborating with clients including Warner Bros., McDonald’s, Facebook, and Instagram.

Alongside her commercial practice, she has continued her theoretical studies and research. After developing her own conceptual framework, she transitioned to fine art, translating these evolving ideas into the tangible, haptic materiality of oil painting.

Despite years of education in modern art, she seeks to preserve traditional realist and perspectival structures while incorporating topological, meditative visual forms that echo the flowing pathways of visual neural transmission. Integrated with language, her work aims to guide the viewer toward a non-dual mode of perception, quieting habitual activity associated with the brain’s default mode network (DMN) and fostering an organic fusion of rationality and sensory flow.
