Qing Zheng received her BA in Animation from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and an MFA in Digital Arts from Pratt Institute. Following graduation, she worked as an animator in New York, collaborating with clients including Warner Bros., McDonald’s, Facebook, and Instagram.

Alongside her commercial practice, she has continued her theoretical studies and research. After developing her own conceptual framework, she transitioned to fine art, translating these evolving ideas into the tangible, haptic materiality of oil painting.

Despite years of education in modern art, she still wishes to preserve traditional realist and perspectival structures while incorporating topological, meditative visual forms that directly convey the flowing pathways of visual neural transmission. Integrated with language, her work aims to guide the viewer toward a non-dual mode of perception, seeking to quiet habitual activity associated with the brain’s default mode network (DMN) and foster an organic fusion of rationality and sensory flow.
